Hi!
Thank you for you questions.
Basically, as we get older our teeth move, that is mother nature! There is a high chance the retainers will be a bit tight due to mild movements (teeth feel comfortable were they were before braces and teeth will be fighting to go back to their original positioned). If retainers are too snug, my advised will be to wear them full time (remove them to eat, drink -unless cold plain water- and brush) for a whole month; this will move them back to the retainers final positioned, and then switch to nights only for lifetime. Hope these help. Thanks!

Hi!
Thank you for your question. I am so sorry for the accident. Ideally, your orthodontist and PCP should look at your lips to make sure nothing serious happened, especially if you are feeling a lump around the affected area. If the accident was minor, I am not expecting you to have the numbness for the rest of your life. Traumas in the oral cavity including lips can clear up within 1 to 3 weeks. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays.

Hi,
Thank you for your question. No, invisalign treatment does not cause gum problems, in fact it maintain a good oral health since you have to remove the aligners to drink (unless you are drinking water), eat and brush. Flossing is the best way to clean your gums and by having invisalign treatment, flossing and brushing become very easy compared to having traditional braces treatment where oral hygiene can become a bit challenging due to the brackets and wires (but not impossible to brush and floss either). Hope this helps. Happy Holidays.
