Hello and thanks for reaching out!

Yes, that means you tested positive; however, it doesn’t say when you first became positive. IgG is an antibody that shows up in your blood when something is an old condition. I typically do not use blood tests for HSV because it gives the wrong impression related to STI testing. If you had a lesion, that could be cultured and if positive, it would mean you had a current outbreak of HSV. HSV 1 can show up like a cold sore or a painful ulcer on the genital area, most commonly. I’ve seen them other areas, but it’s rare.

This is a great question! Iron will not hinder the effectiveness of your birth control pills. In fact, some birth control pills actually have iron to help us to replenish our iron from what’s lost during our periods. So go for it! Slow release iron over the counter is the way to go! (Smile)

Hello and thanks for reaching out!

Typically the fishy/egg foul odor is related to a pH imbalance. It’s a sign of BV or bacterial vaginosis. This can be treated with a course of antibiotics. If you get yeast infections when taking antibiotics, be sure to ask for a yeast pill too! I actually have a video on my social media about bacterial vaginosis that could be helpful if you’re wondering how you get it.
