I would encourage CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) or EMDR as they are both very effective in working with anxiety and the underlying causes of anger. I will say though that the therapeutic relationship is the most important piece so having your son work with someone he trusts or feels comfortable with is key. I hope that is helpful.
