J. Thomas Millington, MD is a board-certified Internist & Hyperbaric Medicine Specialist and Medical Director of Southern California Wound Healing Center in Thousand Oaks, California.

Dr. Millington has held the role of Medical Director at the Southern California Wound Healing Center located in Thousand Oaks, California since May 2008. In this capacity, he provides comprehensive patient care for individuals dealing with chronic wounds, oversees the administration of hyperbaric oxygen treatments, and manages the day-to-day operations of the center. He also facilitates access to hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients who require this supplementary approach to enhance wound healing. Within the state of California, he maintains an affiliation with Sherman Oaks Hospital and assumes the role of the diving medical officer for both the Ventura County Sheriff’s Undersea Search and Rescue team and the Dive team at the port of Long Beach.

Dr. Millington earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Pennsylvania in 1969. Following that, he completed his internship at Harrisburg Hospital in 1970 and subsequently pursued his residency in family medicine at Ventura County Medical Center in 1972. He then achieved board certification in undersea and hyperbaric medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Millington also holds fellowship status and is recognized as a Fellow of the College of Certified Wound Specialists and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. And possesses certification in scuba diving medicine, enabling him to conduct physical examinations for recreational, governmental, and commercial divers.
