DenBoer has worked as a consultant for the NBA, NFL, NHL, Major League Baseball, and numerous other professional sports organizations. He has also authored several books on the topic of mental skill performance.
DenBoer earned his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in 1987 and his MD from Harvard Medical School in 1991. He completed his psychiatry residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1994.
Since 1995, DenBoer has been a staff psychiatrist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. In addition to his work with patients at Brigham and Women's Hospital, DenBoer also consults with businesses and professionals around the world.
