Brian McDonagh, MD is an established neurologist who sees patients at Neuropathy Medical Center, located in Northbrook, Illinois.

Dr. Brian McDonagh, with over 55 years of experience, graduated from the School of Medicine at University College Dublin, Ireland, in 1968. Subsequently, he completed his internship at Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program in 1970 and pursued his residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University. His journey into restorative medicine stemmed from personal necessity when he experienced discomfort in his knees and opted against conventional orthopedic surgical methods. Turning to Prolotherapy, renowned for its capacity to address degenerative arthritis, proved effective for him. Later on, Neural Prolotherapy emerged, which he found particularly efficacious in addressing nerve disorders.

In 1980, he established Vein Clinics of America, a pioneering institution aimed at treating vein disorders through image-guided injection, thereby replacing vein stripping surgery. His groundbreaking work was documented in the Journal of Phlebology in 2002 and has since been adopted in numerous countries globally.
