Courtney Hubscher
Counselor/Therapist
At GroundWork Counseling I work exclusively with children and adolescents and specialize in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), severe anxiety disorders, and specific phobias utilizing CBT and ERP.
I provide therapy from a strength-based and solution-focused perspective, emphasizing personal resiliency and tenacity, utilizing an evidence-based approach to treatment. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a strong emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP); CBT and ERP are the most researched and empirically supported methods of treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders.
I am a Diplomate & Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist through the Academy of Cognitive Therapy; a Diplomate in CBT is awarded to clinicians who have demonstrated expertise in cognitive therapy through a rigorous screening process, there are fewer than 1,000 Diplomates of CBT worldwide.
I received my advanced CBT/REBT training after completing specialized training at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City. I have also completed specific training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) from the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) in Houston, Texas. Less than 1% of mental health professionals in the country have received this level of specialized training for the treatment of OCD. Additionally, I have also received further training for the treatment of complex and treatment resistant OCD in children.
I am an active member of The International OCD Foundation (IOCF), Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), and The Association for Behavioral And Cognitive Therapists (ABCT).
