This is a bit of a difficult question to answer as there a different types of anemia. If you have iron deficiency you could either be treated with oral iron, which can take up to 3-6 months to treat. Or you could get IV iron infusions which are typically given in 3-5 doses over the course of a couple weeks. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause anemia and is treated either with daily oral supplement or monthly shots. There is also anemia of chronic disease which requires treatment of the underlying disease.
