Hello, If all of your teeth are generally sensitive I recommend the use of a prescription toothpaste with heavy fluoride content. We sell Fluorimax in our office and it really seems to help most of our patients with generalized sensitivity. You can also give Sensodyne Toothpaste a try. There is also a product that can be painted onto a tooth or two but this is not for the entire mouth. Gluma is the in-office product that we use for the sensitivity of a single tooth or two, I hope this was helpful.

Hello, By all means, you can have a filling placed on a wisdom tooth. However, my professional opinion is not to spend a lot of money on a wisdom tooth. If a relatively small filling will solve the problem then move forward. If not, then have the tooth extracted. I do not recommend to my patients to have a crown (cap) placed on wisdom teeth. I don't feel wisdom teeth are worthy of that kind of investment. Hope you found this helpful!

My personal opinion is a periodontist. I send my patients to a periodontist as this is their specialty. Periodontists have training beyond dental school and are very careful to preserve your bone, and gum tissue. If you don't have a periodontist to consult with, perhaps research the training of your general dentist. Many dentists are very well trained and can meet your needs.
