When going for swimming or aqua therapy, it would be a good idea to choose a place that has instructors trained to work with people living with MD, but if such option is not available, a swimming pool can be used along with a caregiver. It is important to make sure that the water in the pool is warm, a person suffering from MD is active in a pool, so that to keep the body warm. Further, caution should be taken when coming out of the pool so that a child or a person does not catch a cold. For young ones, it is better to use a pool for children as they are safer and the water is warmer.
