From winning the Junior Miss America pageant at 18 to becoming the chief of dermatology at Brooklyn Hospital Center, Kiersten Cerveny’s life seemed to be one filled with success. Sadly, at the age of 38, she passed away due to a drug overdose. Police suspected foul play at first due to the bruises on her neck, but an autopsy later confirmed it was the cocaine in her system that killed her. Still, both the drug dealer and the HBO producer (who dragged her body to a clear area before calling 911) were found guilty and sentenced to jail time, five years for the former and one for the latter.
