• Carrie Fisher, who famously played Princess Leia in the beloved Star Wars saga
• John Candy, who was extremely overweight
• Jerry Garcia, who had diabetes and was overweight
• Joseph Merrick
• President William Howard Taft, who weighed over 300 pounds
• Football legend Reggie White 
• Harris Glenn Milstead (Divine) who was obese,
• Israel Kamakawiso’ole who sang a beautiful rendition of “Somewhere over the Rainbow".
