Maintaining good mental health is as important as maintaining good physical health. Good mental health makes dealing with fibromyalgia flare-ups, particularly the painful ones, a little more easier.
When dealing with a disorder like fibromyalgia, it’s easy to focus on the physical side of things: to worry about the insomnia, the fibro fog and the pain, and how those things will affect day to day life. Often times, when days are filled with medication and treatments, mental health is the last thing that is considered. But, mental health is so important! And, it’s more than making sure that someone isn’t having too many blue days.
