This is an interesting symptom, because lipomas (benign fatty tumors) are not directly associated with fibromyalgia. However, since people with fibro are much more sensitive to pain, the feeling of lipomas can be short of unbearable. 

And, lipoma can be confused with myofascial trigger points in those with fibromyalgia, so they may be difficult to assess. They can be removed, but any operation can exacerbate the already-severe pain.
