Nick Jonas Receives Disney Hero Award for His Efforts in Diabetes Awareness
A battle he doesn't have to fight alone

The time when he decided to go tell the public about it is the time when he started feeling comfortable managing the disease. Now, it's safe to say that Nick feels good about how his own story has given some courage to kids diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, who are afraid to tell their friends about their disease. Nick also found it comforting that he’s not alone in this battle as many people also have diabetes or know someone who has it.
One of the few things he carries in his pocket is a guitar pick, just to give to kids who have diabetes like him.
