People can often be green-eyed monsters. Given that, jealousy is part of being human. However, if not handled properly, this may result in negative emotions, and worst, anxiety and fear. Psychologists consider jealousy as an emotion that needs to be suppressed before it gets worse. Jealousy strikes both men and women, and once it does, things usually get out of control.

According to the medical journal of American Academy of Neurology, women who experience more jealousy have a higher risk of Alzheimer’s. Jealousy is linked to developing fear, worries, and anxiety that are all negative contributions to acquiring Alzheimer’s disease. How a person reacts to the stressors in their surroundings greatly affects the condition of the brain.
