Normally, your doctor will offer a recommendation between AUTO or ALLO by taking your specific disease into account, as well as the state of your bone marrow health, general health, and age.
If you already have cancer, or some other disease, within your bone marrow, ALLO will most likely be recommended as your own stem cells have likely already been tainted, so reinjecting them would offer very little efficacy.
