Untreated Sleep Apnea as a Determining Factor for Aggressive Melanoma
Early detection of melanoma
Early detection is key to addressing the disease. This should not be too difficult as visible markings on the skin are usually shown. But having done this, one has only scratched the surface.
The World Health Organization has recognized the seriousness of the condition, and it's only going to spread. Melanoma patients have repeatedly been reminded to avoid overexposure to sunlight, which is the main reason why cancer cells spread. Recommendations also include wearing skin-protective clothes, applying sunscreen, and avoiding the outdoors when the sun is at its highest intensity (11am-3pm).
