What Causes Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a serious condition that affects a woman’s body. It is very dangerous because the tissue that grows inside the woman’s uterus, grows outside instead, which can really damage the uterus. Moreover, endometriosis can damage the organs around the uterus if it is not treated on time. Now, when we talk about this condition, we have to know what causes it.

Menstrual Cycle
The menstrual cycles may be a leading factor in endometriosis. This happens when a woman is experiencing a retrograde menstruation cycle, which means that menstrual blood flows back through the fallopian tubes instead of going out of the body as monthly periods. When menstrual blood goes back to the fallopian tubes, it can cause endometriosis. During menstruation, there are endometrial cells, and if retrograde menstruation happens, those cells go back to the system. For now, this theory has not been confirmed, but it is the most likely theory of what causes the endometriosis.
Immune System Disorder
If a woman has an immune system disorder, it can also lead to endometriosis. The immune system is capable of recognizing every bacterium and every irregular activity that is happening to the body, and it is trying to fight these irregularities. The same thing happens with endometriosis. However, the immune system may not recognize this illness, so it can let it grow. This condition happens when there is a certain disruption in the immune system.
Surgery
Sometimes, during a surgery, endometriosis can also happen, especially in the surgical incision. It is very important that the diagnosis of endometriosis has already been established before undergoing surgery.
While transferring the blood from the blood vessels, the system may infect itself with endometriosis. This happens when the blood vessels are transporting an endometrial cell. The endometrial cells may stop at some point and they may start developing this disease. The cells that are located in the abdomen or pelvis are transporting embryonic cells. When they are going through the endometrial tissue, they may stop there. If they are not moved for a certain period of time, they may start growing and cause endometriosis.
