While most of us think of flatulence as something that is irritating, and wish it would go away, there are actually some benefits that it offers.
It is also important to remember that our body's responses are actually ways of speaking to us. So, when you are experiencing excessive flatulence, it is probably a sign that something else is wrong within your stomach, usually that you have been consuming foods that are too difficult for your body to digest.
Believe it or not, that smell when you pass gas is actually healthy for us. Sounds crazy, right? But it's true! In large doses, the odor can be toxic; however, in small doses that occur when gas is passed naturally, smelling the odor will fight against cell damage, strokes, and heart attacks. While it might seem gross, those benefits are definitely worth the smell!
