The Golden Rule of Rheumatoid Arthritis Joint Health: Keep Moving!
Avoid strenuous activity
Several experts agree that if performing exercises causes joint pain that lasts for more than one hour, it is considered strenuous. You should be aware of any exercises that put immense stress on your joints, especially ‘high-impact’ exercises such as jogging and heavy weight-lifting. Work with your doctor or physical therapist in order to alter your exercise program. If you start to experience increased weakness, joint swelling, persistent pain, decreased movement, or unusual fatigue, you should ease up on exercising and contact your doctor right away.
