Grants to Support Parkinson’s Studies Get Approved
The Role of Parkinson's Foundation
With the aim of working together to discover the best treatment and care options to treat Parkinson’s disease, the National Parkinson’s Foundation (NPF) grantmaking strategy focuses on funding and supporting the world’s top Parkinson’s disease clinical researchers and promising early career scientists in the field.
The foundation announces a $ 1.2 million investment in PD research that will be spent on various fellowship and career development programs. Funded projects include 27 career developments and fellowship grants and cover a wide scope of areas that are important for the Parkinson's research and development. The NPF has capitalized more than $189 million in these services, and each grant was peer critiqued and carefully selected by Clinical and Scientific Advisory board of the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
