Age also plays a factor
The researchers also found that age of diagnosis for both women and men was associated with an increased risk of developing a second cancer. Women diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma who were under the age of 35 had a 14% risk of developing breast cancer as a second cancer over course of 30 years, while for those over the age of 35 at the time of diagnosis had only a 3% risk.
