The Inaccurate Portrayal of Lupus on Social Media

One of the few that voiced out about this issue is a lupus patient named Kristiana Page. According to her, she has experienced several accounts of being judged poorly about her condition online. This occurred when she stayed a month in Europe with her sister. Like any other normal millennial on a big trip, Kristiana filled her Instagram account with memorable photos about her time in a foreign country.
She chose to feature her fun and exciting adventures on Instagram, a side of her life that she happily likes to share with other people. Kristiana chose not to post anything related to her struggles with lupus; however, given by what they saw on her feed, people on the internet quickly jumped to conclusions about her situation. Her parents received messages about her condition, claiming that her lupus is not bad as it seems.
