Sopranos Star Jamie-Lynn Sigler Shares Her Story of Living With Multiple Sclerosis
How Jamie-Lynn's symptoms began
The symptoms began as a vague numbness that the actress described to be heavy. It was the kind of numbness that would precede the annoying pins and needles that you feel when you've sat in the wrong position too long. "It just feels strange in your legs," she says "and the sensation is spreading and rising."
For a while, Jamie-Lynn thought it was the stress of work causing her symptoms.
At the time, Jamie-Lynn was stressed from being overworked at her successful acting career, which had just started to take off. When her symptoms sent her to the emergency room, 20-year-old Jamie-Lynn was still convinced that she was being over-dramatic. She felt like her symptoms were likely nothing serious.
