Multiple Sclerosis in Movies and TV

Chicago Hope is a hit TV show that aired from 1994-2000. In 1995, movie celebrity, Richard Pryor, took on the role of an MS patient by the name of Joe Springer, who hopes to discover some miracle form of surgical intervention that will allow him to walk again. Pryor had multiple sclerosis in real life and passed away in 2005 from a heart attack.
