Gantrisin is a drug used in the treatment of urinary tract infections (primarily pyelonephritis, pyelitis and cystitis) due to microorganisms such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella-Enterobacter, staphylococcus and Proteus spp bacteria. It is also used in meningitis, otitis media (ear infection), trachoma, inclusion conjunctivitis, nocardiosis, chancroid, toxoplasmosis and malaria.
This drug is available as a suspension containing acetyl sulfisoxazole 0.5 gram in 5 milliliter.

Side Effects
There are no side effects known aside from a possible allergic reaction in people who have previous or unknown hypersensitivity to the drug.

Warnings
Before taking this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have the following:
