The wife of the famous writer F. Scott Fitzgerald also suffered from schizophrenia. She was also a novelist herself, as well as a dancer, socialite, and "the first American Flapper" (according to her husband).
Although her husband's works are more well known, they were both massive celebrities at the time. She was known to suffer from paranoia, especially in regard to the potential of her husband's infidelity. In 1930, she was officially diagnosed with schizophrenia. Despite seemingly to be America's favorite couple for a time, the marriage became very difficult, largely due to her struggles with mental illness. Eventually, she had to live in a psychiatric clinic to cope with her schizophrenia.
