Before she hit the stage, Turner wanted to be a nurse. Back in Nutbush, Tennessee, Tina Turner was Anna Mae Bullock, a nurse's aide at her local hospital. She didn't even have dreams of being an international singer until her manager-turned-husband, Ike Turner, came into the picture.
