Signs that Show When Children Have Sleep Apnea

Frequent napping

It is normal for a young child to nap frequently. However, as they grow and mature, the frequency of their napping should diminish, to the point of not needing to nap at all during the day. However, since sleep apnea will diminish both the quantity and quality of their sleep at night, those who suffer from the condition might feel inclined to take one or more naps during the day in order to get the rest they failed to achieve at night. By the time the child enters elementary school, the need to nap should go away almost completely. If they begin to nap one or more times on a daily basis, it may be a sign that they are suffering from sleep apnea.
