Endocronologist (Pediatric) Questions Menstruation

My daughter is 14 years old and still hasn't gotten her period. Should I be worried?

My daughter just turned 14 year old, but she still hasn't started her period. I'm worried, as all of her friends already had it for a few years, but her pediatrician says this happens sometimes. Should I be worried though anyway? Is there anything that I can do to help?

Menarche generally starts around 12 years and half for the majority girls. Some do it earlier, some late Bloomers do it later. Between 10-15 years is fine, as long as there are no other medical problems and puberty is progressing normally. If your child does not show any signs of sexual development such as breast tissue, public hair, body odor or acne she needs evaluation. But In a normal healthy child with signs of sexual development watchful waiting until the age of 15 years is reasonable.
Good luck
If she has normal development of secondary sexual characteristics, then wait a few more months to see if she gets menses.
Take her to a pediatric endocrinologist to have her evaluated.
This may be normal. However, 14 years of age is when a pediatric endocrinologist would do an evaluation to make sure there is nothing wrong.
Not to worry, unless there is severe cyclic pain, which could be imperforate hymen with hematometra.
Not until she gets to 18 and no cycle
There is no need to worry. Age 14 to 15 is within the normal range.
Be patient, reassure her, and wait up to age 16. If there's still no period, see a gynecologist.
