Adrenal nodules

I recently had a CT scan and I have sum sort of a nodule on each adrenal gland. The GP doctor who told me the results did not seem concerned. What should I do next? The only thing he told me is just get another CT San in a year to check for growth.

Adrenal nodules are fairly common and rarely clinically significant. Adrenal glands make different types of hormones. When I see a patient with adrenal nodules; I order blood tests to be sure there is no over or underfunction of these hormones. I also repeat a CT scan in about 6 months to be sure they are not growing. If the nodules are not causing hormone dysfunction and not increasing in size over 6 months; I repeat the CT in one year. Adrenal nodules are very rarely malignant.
you should see endocrinologist to check if the nodule secrets any hormone...
