“Anaphylactic Reaction With Lexapro?”
I have had panick attacks the last week and just got prescribed Lexapro. I was terrified to take it, scared that I’d have a bad allergic reaction and go into anaphylactic shock. It’s been almost 3 hours and I’m still worried. My hearts beating fast and throats tight I’m guessing from my anxiety as it’s been like this for hours. What’s the chances I will still go into anaphylactic shock later?

Your symptoms are consistent with anxiety. Anaphylactic shock is very rare and usually comes on rapidly. See your doctor if symptoms continue.
