“Are there natural ways to treat gout?”
I am suffering from gout. I am on medication and it's making me feel really off. Is there any other way that can improve my condition?

most gout patients need medication to most effectively control uric acid levels
but, weight loss and exercise and Diet can help
If taking a diuretic for blood pressure or leg edema , reducing dose or stopping can also be helpful

Most people respond to naproxen type medication, but will probably need long-term medication daily to retard the joint damage that gout can cause.
In my experience, using "natural" remedies like sour cherry juice, citrus, and vitamin C may help lower uric acid (the causative agent in gout) minimally. Avoiding alcohol and high fructose containing products may help a bit, too, but medications are more effective in lowering uric acid to the point that gout can be controlled and flares irradiated.
