Cardiologist Questions Cardiologist

Are you intubated for cardiac ablation?

I am a 41 year old female. I want to know if you are intubated for cardiac ablation?

It depends on the type of ablation. Make sure you ask the electrophysiologist this question before agreeing to a procedure, especially if you have a "DNR" or do not resuscitate order. Also, if you have poor lungs or on home oxygen, this is an important question.
In general No. It only requires conscious sedation with cardiac and O 2 monitor.
Usually you are not intubated for an ablation. There is usually no reason to run the risks of general anesthesia for this procedure. There will be sedation but no intubation
No just sedated
