Are you sedated during a bronchoscopy?

I will have a bronchoscopy next week. Are you sedated during a bronchoscopy?

Typically you’ll give a light sedation such as propofol that is an amnestic to not allow you to remember the procedure it gets metabolized fairly quickly so when they give it they can bring you out of sedation in any time. Bronchoscopy is a fairly quick and the anesthesia should be very simple
