Aspirin before surgery?

I am scheduled for hand surgery Tuesday. The surgery was supposed to take place last Tuesday but the surgeon was taken ill. I had stopped taking 81mg of Aspirin a week before the scheduled surgery. I accidentally did take 81mg of aspirin for two days this past week. Is it safe to proceed with the planned surgery? I have been off the Aspirin since Saturday.

Best to check with your doctor about this.
It depends on the surgery. And surgeons have different opinions on this. I personally would not have a problem with it, but I would check with your surgeon.

Should be okay, half-life should be over. As a precaution, I personally would like to take extra precautions loco/regional anesthesia or block l local vasoconstriction drugs.

You are at a risk of bleeding. It's 7-10 days of no aspirin or whatever your surgeon advises.
