Baby

My baby fell off my bed onto the carpet. He hit his head and I’m not sure what to watch for. He seems fine, he ate breakfast and had a bottle and fell asleep. He’s breathing fine, but I’m nervous. He is 11 months old, has no bumps or bruises.

In general the baby would have to fall a great distance 10 feet or more to sustain a skull fracture. In an otherwise healthy baby a brain bleed would also be unlikely. As an Osteopathic Pediatrician we would recommend to be evaluated by a physician trained in Osteopathic medicine and diagnosis as sometimes there can be damage to muscles and bone alignment which can cause problems (such as vision problems or even ear infections) later on.
I would look at for increased sleepiness, vomiting, changes in activity.
