Bilateral adrenal adenomatous hyperplasia?

Should I be concerned with my CT scan showing the above diagnosis and right cardiophremic angle fat pat? I have extreme fatigue, muscle pain, don't sleep well also high blood pressure. I have been feeling unwell for about 6 months.

Should be evaluated by an endocrinologist.
Dear Patient,

Sorry for your distress. A small percent of adrenal adenomas may be functional, which means they are secreting hormones such as cortisol, aldosterone, noradrenaline or adrenaline. These hormones could cause symptoms as well as being cause of hypertension. You should discuss this with your physician and be evaluated for these hormones.

Concern is not the word I would use. Understanding speaking with your physician, writing things down on a notepad, and the such is what I would be focusing on. You’re welcome to get back in touch with me regarding further diagnosis and possible treatment. It’s hard to let somebody know treatment protocol without having all of the data, labs, CAT scan results and be accurate. If you ever have any questions, make sure your treating provider is aware, date, time, length, site, and more. The more you learn about what you have, the more comfortable you will feel. Knowledge is power and also will help you with treatment, care, diagnoses, follow-ups, and the rest.
God bless, take care, and I wish you nothing but the best. Thank you for requesting my opinion.

Be well,

Brent Reinheimer, MD
Hi,

The bilateral adrenal enlargement can be a result of extra stimulation from pituitary ACTH. And this may indicate hormone imbalance. So, blood testing for ACTH and cortisol is important. If you have required corticosteroid therapy in prior months, then your own production goes down.
