“Birth control and cephalexin and nitrofuratoin”
Okay so I was taking two antibiotics cephalexin and nitrofuratoin last week which was my placebo week of my birth control. I just took my last doses this morning and started my active pills of birth control on Sunday. I also have been taking Sudafed for my sinus cold. I had sex with a condom but the first one broke most likely before my partner came and then we used another condom. do I need to be worried if my birth control is still working? Do I need a plan b or will plan b and birth control cancel each other out? FYI I’m on the vienva birth control

Hi! Since you are not on the antibiotics during your active pills they should not affect it. That being said with any broken condom it's good to do a plan B even if got another condom just to make sure . Especially if you really don't want to risk getting pregnant right now .
