Hello, Thank you for your question. We you have to evaluate you and take foot x-rays if needed. Please call our office 973-817-9577 or on our portal drtotten.com for an appointment.
Thank you
yes, it is normal sometimes. it also depends the last three months of healing thus far, if harware was used, how the internal bone is healing, etc. I recommend you to see your surgeon on this and address this with the doctor. seek second opinion if neccessary. good luck with recovery.
Depends on the procedure. See the operating surgeon for a check up.
It is normal to have some residual pain up to 1 year from the date of your bunion surgery.
Hello,

Pain from surgery should normally improve over 2-3 months. It really depends what procedure was done.
There may be persistent soreness and swelling after any foot surgery. Swelling may last for up to a year after surgery, as the tissues take that long to remodel and return to a more normal state. Most of my patients do not have that much pain 3 months after surgery, but this can vary. The best thing for you to do is to have the surgery site evaluated by the surgeon who performed the surgery, including getting new x-rays.
Your surgeon knows enough information to determine the next course of action. There are many different types of bunion surgery and various potential complications for each type. Funny feelings/tingling/burning/swelling/soreness can persist for months after bunion surgery at baseline. However your surgeon should see you and inform you if the symptoms you are experiencing are expected or if there is a complication associated with your procedure.
Wounds can take up to a year to heal. Start Acupuncture with Moxibustion. Start Alive MVI maximum potency gummies for women. Start Vitamin C 2,000 mg daily with Rose hips and bioflavonoids. Zinc piconalate 100 mg capsules daily. Magnesium citrate softgel 400 mg daily. Vitamin D3 softgel 7,000 IU daily. Methyl Vitamin B12 lozenges 20 mg daily. Start organic, non-GMO, low gluten/no gluten green Mediterranean diet.
Pain from surgery can vary. I recommend you discuss with your surgeon regarding the pain and your course of recovery
