Well you didn't state if there has been any injury to you right foot. There is a possibility that she may have some staying either a stress fracture of the second metatarsal or the toe or you can just have a stress fracture in the foot. Therefore I would advise you to seek professional care and evaluation where x-rays may be taken to rule out the possibility of a fracture in your foot. Avoid walking barefooted continue with your icing resting and possibly wearing a protective shoe that would be provided by the foot specialist if there is a possibility there is a stress fracture, complete fracture, or subluxation, or dislocation present in the foot. Advised, you to seek professional evaluation and treatment for your current foot issue.
You may need to have an X-ray done.
In the meantime you should not put any weight on it
Hello, It sounds as though you may have suffered an injury to the ball of your foot, specifically under the 2nd toe. It would be best at this time to come into the office for an evaluation. Treatment for now should be limiting pressure to the forefoot or ball of the foot until we can rule out injuries in the soft tissue and/or bone. This would be done via XRays and ultrasound in office, and if needed, an MRI to further identify our problem. Take over the counter aleve x2 every 8 to 12 hours to allow for pain relief and decrease inflammation.
Because the toe is swollen and it is not getting better with rest, I would suggest seeing a Podiatrist and getting an xray to rule out a stress fracture. If you are close to New Canaan CT call my office at 203-548-7688 to make an appointment. In the meantime continue to modify your activities and avoid going barefoot or wearing flip flops.
Hi! I would see a podiatrist for an evaluation. you may need an x ray.
Any injury?
Very active suddenly especially in tight shoes or high heels as your second toe is the longest.
Wist a few more days snd if not improving get a doctor involved and an x-ray.
You need to have an X-ray taken of your foot and toe to make sure there is no fracture. I suggest you see a podiatrist as soon as possible.
Did you have any recent injuries to your toes? Worn any shoes that might be tight-fitting?
I would recommend you schedule an appointment with a podiatrist, and have Xrays done to check for any fracture. That will help to determine the course of the treatment. Keep elevating it and icing it.
You might have a neuroma, a stress fracture, a joint irritation, tendonitis, or other pathology-you should see your local podiatrist for a proper examination and evaluation.
I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle specialist (Podiatrist) for evaluation and treatment options.
