C-section scar itches?

I had a C-section 4 years ago yesterday and my C-section scar is itching me severely. It won't go away and its driving me insane. What causes this and what can I do to get it to stop itching?

Consult Dermatology. Consult Functional Medicine. Itching can be a micronutrient deficiency.
It’s odd to have issues with a scar 4 years later. I would see a dermatologist to see if there’s something going on with the skin in that area.
The surgery was done 4 years ago. The incision is completely healed. That takes about nine months. The healing process can go on for longer. Over time the scar softens up and shrinks. It does not sound like you have a hernia at the incision site. You should be examined by your surgeon to confirm that. It could be there is inflammation around one of the sutures. There can be a delayed infection at a suture site. It would be red and tender. The best course of action is to see your surgeon. Then you can see if there could be an infection or a small hernia. Then you might require antibiotics or minor surgery for a small hernia. It may require a topical application of antibiotics or cortisone cream.
