Can I get the COVID vaccine during pregnancy?

I am pregnant. Can I get the COVID vaccine during pregnancy?

1 Answer

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), it is safe and recommended that a woman get the COVID-19 vaccine if she hasn't already done so. The benefits far outweigh any potential risks. The COVID-19 vaccine is composed of a DEAD virus and cannot give you the disease. Studies have shown that it causes no harm to the mom or infant.
CDC recommends that people who are breastfeeding a baby, and infants 6 months of age and older, get vaccinated and stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines. This Fall is a good time to call either your health care provider or pharmacy and schedule a time to get the vaccine. Take care,
