Can I go to a swimming pool with a disc hernia?

I have a disc hernia. Can I go to a swimming pool with a disc hernia?

Yes as long as you can get out safely.
Swimming causes extension In the lowback. Not the best exercise for a disc. It causes compression
Yes, you should be able to go into a swimming pool. Clearly, if the disc herniation is high in the cervical spine, you should avoid going underneath the water. Water can be used as a good therapeutic tool with disc herniations, because it reduces load on the spine from the buoyancy effect. Todd Moore
