“Can I have more than one root canal in a day?”
I need three root canals done. Will this be too painful? Can I have more than one root canal in a day?

There is no need to be worried if your dentist decides to do more than one root canal treatment in one day. Root canal treatment is done to eliminate bacteria in the infected tooth by removing the nerve and then thoroughly cleaning, disinfecting, and filling inside of the tooth. If there is a lot of infection, root canal treatment is done in two visits to make sure there is no left over bacteria. Talk to your dentist about all your concerns beforehand and ask all your questions so that you’re comfortable with the procedure.
Yes, it just takes time. Sometimes, we recommend multiple root canals in one appointment due to the location of the teeth, for restorative purposes, or if we are going to sedate a patient for treatment. The only real contraindication is if you'd prefer to break it up into separate appointments.

Yes, you can. It can take a little time to complete, but the Endodontist ( a root canal specialist) would do a consultation and then decide if you can have more than one done. Not likely for molars, but anterior or front teeth would more likely be done. Root Canals are not painful at all. It is just the length of time to complete the procedure that is the limiting factor.
Yes absolutely, can have multiple root canals done in one visit as long as the patient understands the dental visit would be longer. IV sedation would be recommended in many cases.
Root canals generallyt are NOT painful. So, from a technical stanpoint you could have more than 1 root canal procedure completed in a day. You may not want to do all 3 it depends on location of the teeth that need treatment. You may have to be "numb" in different areas of your mouth and some patients do not like that. You will also be required to keep your mouth open for a long period of time and that may result in sore jaw joints.
