I do not recommend running with ankle arthritis. For ankle arthritis pain I recommend the modalities of acupuncture, herbs and massage 2-3 times a week for 4-6 weeks to get the best result.
Avoiding high impact activities is favored. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for further recommendations.
Yes, it's possible to run with ankle arthritis, but it depends on the severity of your arthritis and how you approach it:
Start slowly: Begin gradually and build up based on how your body responds.
Warm up and cool down: Warming up and cooling down can help keep you safe.
Choose the right shoes: Wear shoes that are appropriate for you and your type of arthritis. You might need shoe orthotics for support.
Run on softer surfaces: Avoid hard surfaces like concrete and run on softer surfaces like grass, dirt, or a rubberized track.
Run with proper form: Use proper running form to reduce stress on your joints and decrease your risk of injury.
Cross-train: Alternate days of running with other activities like swimming.
See a doctor: Before starting a running routine, or if you experience new or more intense symptoms, consult a doctor.
Running can actually help with arthritis by lubricating joints and reducing inflammation. However, if your arthritis is severe, running or high-impact activity may be painful. If you experience pain that doesn't improve with rest and decreased mileage, you should seek medical attention.

Run with ankle arthritis is not proper, you can do some short distance walking exercise, it will help your arthritis.
The diagnosis of ankle arthritis does not mean you cannot run. If you can run, then do. If you are concerned about it, look to chiropractic, physical therapy and/or acupuncture to address the symptoms and to decrease inflammation.
Yes you can certainly run with ankle arthritis. The question is are you currently getting treatment for it? A lot of people have osteoarthritis in their joints but it really depends on what stage it is. There are 4 stage to joint degeneration. So the answer to your question is yes.
