I think I am pregnant and want to take a pregnancy test. Can I take a pregnancy test before missed period?

Yes. Pregnancy test results do indeed vary though in the early weeks of pregnancy. It is possible that a negative test may appear and then another test a few weeks later will be positive. This happens because hormone levels vary.
Yes you can. In fact some women still can have a full period while initially pregnant. By all means, take the test. If still doubtful try gain in a week or go to your Ob/GYN or PCP and they can test you too.
