Probably not, ask your surgeon.
It really depends on the type of surgery! I would contact the physician or surgeon who performed the surgery to answer post operative questions and concerns!
The ability to walk after heel surgery varies depending on the specific procedure performed, the extent of the surgery, and individual factors such as your overall health and the surgeon's recommendations. In many cases, patients are initially advised to limit weight-bearing on the affected foot immediately after surgery to allow for proper healing.
To get accurate and personalized information about your specific case, we recommend scheduling a consultation with our experienced podiatrist at Jose Loor Podiatry Practice. During this appointment, our team will assess your recovery progress, address any concerns, and provide tailored advice on when it's appropriate to start walking.

Hi! I would follow the instructions you received after surgery and from the doctor for the best possible outcome and uneventful healing process.
The answer is "it depends". In my office, when a patient has elective surgery, with the use of minimal invasive technique, my patient walk on the same day, even heel surgery. however, it depends on the technique, surgeon preference, structure being operated on, etc... I would recommend you to talk to your surgeon regarding your concern.
That is up to how your physician/surgeon wants you to handle the post-operative course. I, personally, would not allow any excessive ambulation (more than to the bathroom or kitchen for very short periods of time) for 3-4 weeks after such a surgery.
It will depend on what procedure was performed. I recommend you discuss with your surgeon for your particular case.
Ask your surgeon.
