Can Invisalign cause gum issues?

I wear Invisalign and have gum bleeding. Can Invisalign cause gum issues?

No. bacteria and infection cause gum disease.
Yes, sometimes the aligners can impinge on the gum tissue. Please see your orthodontist and have them trim the aligners to decrease or eliminate the aligner contact with the gum tissue. Hope that helps!
Having clear aligners can cause bleeding gums as you need to keep the appliances in the mouth for a prolonged time. Anything other than optimal hygiene will cause gum issues to become exaggerated due to retention of food and plaque. Please consult your dental professional.
